I hide my profile because I like to post pictures of my kids, etc. Plus, I have a lot of friends who live different lifestyles and was judged by a previous employer because of this, specifically homosexuals. And when I make a post that reflects my political point of view I don't necessarily want a future employer to see that. So there are a lot of reasons to make your profile private or to not have one at all. And I wouldn't say that it's necessarily to hide anything detrimental. Just my 2 cents! Hi!
