PlanHQ Releases
March 15, 2007
I have been watching PlanHQ go through the development phase and now they are released. I was a Beta tester for them and it is an interesting project.
They provide a Business Plan tool that is an online, living business plan. It lets you collaborate on the plan with investors and partners and lets you adjust the plan every month to keep it realistic.
I am not a big fan of formal business plans, because by the time the ink dries there are usually changes. This product is the solution to that issue. I might just start telling people they DO need a business plan again.

Got something to say?

I’ve been with enough (too many?) startups to understand that a business plan is marketing tool — period!
But SOME plan is essential, especially when multiple people are involved, like a startup for example.
The #1 problem with a biz plan is that it’s essentially static — looks like this tool may essentially solve that!
Thanks Ron,
I like most have come to hate business planning the conventional way, maintaining a wordy document. If we can keep a business plan alive and in sync with our business as we journey through growth, then I think planning can be something very powerful.
Excellent to hear Ted, making a plan something you achieve instead of something used to just get money and win people over is a big aim of PlanHQ, we want to help people make realistoc plans that get achieved because they’re up to date with whats happening and driving action.
