Well at the risk of appearing self-serving (as podcasts are part of what I produce for clients) what podcasters (even business podcasters) fail to focus on enough is CONTENT.

Not content for getting &quot;your&quot; message out to the public. Thats IS self serving. An honest appraisal of your content topic or script should first always ask &quot;how does this content help/resonant with the audience?&quot; Your content will support any claim you have as an expert if done right but what a podcaster REALLY needs to think about is the listeners&#039; likely question about their podcast: &quot;what&#039;s really in it for me?&quot; &quot;Is it worth my time?&quot;

Each time out, you only get one shot to prove your worth. My advice is not to turn the mic on unless you can prove that worth in each podcast.
